"Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" a fost ales "filmul anului" iar Chris Hemsworth, "starul anului 2022", la gala People’s Choice Awards 2022 difuzată de postul E!.
Gala premiilor votate de fani găzduită de Kenan Thompson, din Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, a fost difuzată de E! pe 7 decembrie, de la 22.00.
Anul acesta E! a înmânat premiul People’s Icon lui Ryan Reynolds, actor, producător, scenarist şi antreprenor, People’s Champion Award lui Lizzo, artistă premiată cu Emmy şi Grammy, iar trofeul Music Icon a mers către Shania Twain, cântăreaţă şi compozitoare cu cinci statuete Grammy în palmares.
Ceremonia a inclus un recital Shania Twain, care a cântat o serie de melodii cunoscute şi noul single “Waking Up Dreaming", dar şi un moment din partea nominalizatei la categoria New Artist of 2022, Lauren Spencer Smith, care a interpretat piesa ei "Fingers Crossed".
